Nestled on the picturesque Bolivar Peninsula, Crystal Beach offers a tranquil escape with its 27 miles of sandy shoreline along the Gulf Coast. This unincorporated community is renowned for its laid-back atmosphere, colorful elevated beach homes, and a strong sense of community among residents and visitors alike .

 

Most homes in the area are elevated bungalows, painted in vibrant hues like lime green, flamingo pink, and aqua blue, reflecting the lively spirit of the community .

 

Crystal Beach is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. Whether you're into swimming, sunbathing, fishing, or bird watching, there's something for everyone. The area is part of the Great Coastal Birding Trail, offering opportunities to spot a diverse array of bird species .

 

Crystal Beach is a relaxed, drive-on beach community, so getting around is easy and fun. Most guests choose to explore the area by car or golf cart, both of which are common on the beach and neighborhood roads. There’s direct beach access nearby, and driving directly on the sand is permitted with a Bolivar Beach Parking Sticker (available at local shops and gas stations for a small fee).

 

For short distances, you can also walk or bike, especially around the quiet residential streets and down to the shoreline. Local restaurants, convenience stores, and The Big Store are just a short drive away.

 

There’s no public transportation, so having your own vehicle or renting a golf cart is highly recommended to fully enjoy all Crystal Beach has to offer.

We LOVED our stay! The house is as described, beautiful with all the amenities you need. The beach was just down the road and Chris was a text away. Very responsive. The only down thing was that one of the tubs was not draining properly but Chris offered to have someone come out and look at it but at that time we just wanted our privacy and he understood. Our little getaway was very pleasant and peaceful. We’ll be back for sure!!
