That's your first night at A Shore Thing — a half-mile from Lake Texoma's sandy shores, built for exactly this kind of reset. The backyard is the whole point. Everything else is just as good.
Step inside and the open-concept living room sets the tone: two couches, an oversized chair, and a 50-inch Roku TV. Board games and puzzles are stashed in the coffee table for late nights in. The decor is intentional — this is a place built for relaxing, not impressing.
The kitchen is fully stocked for real cooking: gas stove, oven, dishwasher, full refrigerator, microwave, all cookware and utensils, and pantry staples — coffee, salt, pepper, cooking spray. The dining table seats four.
BEDROOMS
Primary Bedroom — Queen bed, smart TV, ceiling fan, closet storage. The primary bath is stocked with the extras most hosts forget: individually wrapped toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, ibuprofen, and antacids.
Second Bedroom — Queen bed, smart TV, ceiling fan. Quiet and comfortable.
Bunk Room — Full-over-full bunk bed plus a twin. Bright windows, plenty of floor space, perfect for families or groups. Every bedroom has its own ceiling fan and smart TV.
BATHROOMS
Two full bathrooms, freshly stocked each stay. The primary bath has a tub/shower combo. The second bath (in the attached shop) has a walk-in shower and a clean vanity.
THE BACKYARD
The private, fully fenced backyard is why guests book this place — and why they come back.
Private hot tub (7–8 person, open 24/7, year-round) on a lit wooden deck with string lights. Fire pit surrounded by four Adirondack chairs. Hammock strung between mature oak trees. Outdoor dining area and daytime seating. Fully fenced for dogs and kids to roam safely. Outdoor faucet for rinsing sandy feet and lake gear.
The covered front porch is the quiet morning counterpart — a swing, shade, and neighborhood views before the day gets going.

WHO THIS HOME IS BEST FOR
Families with kids — The bunk room was made for it. Kids take the bunks, parents take the queen rooms, everyone ends up around the fire pit after dinner. The fenced yard lets dogs and little ones roam freely.
DFW weekend warriors — Two and a half hours from the Metroplex. Leave after work Friday, wake up at a lake house.
Fishing groups — Texoma striper fishing is legendary. Launch nearby, soak in the hot tub when you get back. The washer/dryer handles the rest.
Couples retreating — Hot tub, fire pit, hammock built for two. The kind of reset you'll actually feel on Monday.
Pet owners — Fenced yard, outdoor rinse station, dog crate in the primary closet. Your dog is as welcome as you are.

Self check-in via smart lock keypad — your code arrives before check-in, no coordination needed. Check-in after 3:00 PM, check-out before 11:00 AM. Full access to the entire home and all outdoor spaces. Single-level, no stairs.
PARKING
Free parking on the property with room for multiple vehicles, plus free street parking out front. The driveway handles trucks, trailers, and recreational vehicles — room for your boat, jet skis, golf cart, or ATV.

DAMAGE WAIVER
Your reservation includes a damage waiver covering up to $3,000 in accidental damage to furniture, fixtures, and appliances. Please report any incidents before check-out.
